| SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) -- Continental Airlines Inc. (CAL) Wednesday evening said October traffic rose 9.5% to 7.26 billion from 6.63 billion revenue passenger miles during the same period in the prior year. Monthly capacity rose 6.8% to 9.16 billion from 8.58 billion available seat miles. Continental added that October's load factor, or the percentage of a plane filled with passengers, was 79.3%, compared with 77.3% in the prior year. |
